The holiday season at Mickleover was filled with laughter, creativity, and heartwarming activities that brought joy to both children and adults. This year, our festivities were not only about celebrating Christmas but also about supporting meaningful causes and getting everyone involved!
The Treetops Reindeer Dash has become somewhat of a tradition from our first participation a few years ago to support a family through a bereavement. This years Dash was a delightful event where children ran around, giggling and dashing to the tune of "Run Run Rudolph." Sporting face paints and reindeer antlers, the little ones participated in this event to raise funds that we donated to Treetops and all the amazing work they do!
The Christmas spirit was in full swing with parties, a much-anticipated Santa visit, and Chef Anita got in the spirit cooking us a scrumptious Christmas dinner. The children took pride in crafting their own table decorations, adding a personal touch to the festive feast!
Our pre-schoolers stole the show with their charming Nativity performance, spreading the joy of the season through their brilliant portrayal of this timeless story. From our Shepherds to our Wise Men and our very own Mary & Joseph too - it was a fantastic occassion which they had worked so hard on the run up to
Meanwhile, the Babies and Toddlers enjoyed heartwarming Christmas Singalongs. Parents joined in, donning their festive jumpers, and together, we sang a medley of Christmas songs. The singalong was perfectly complemented by an assortment of refreshments, including the ever-popular mince pies!
In line with our educational theme, 'The World and Culture,' the preschool children took a creative initiative by making postcards for friends and family around the world. The excitement peaked when they embarked on a walk to the post box to send off their beautifully crafted cards.
Even the weather played its part in our Christmas story, with a few snow days that added an extra layer of magic to our celebrations. The snowflakes created a picturesque backdrop, enhancing the festive atmosphere and providing endless fun for the children.
This Christmas at Mickleover was a perfect blend of fun, learning, and giving back. We are grateful for the smiles it brought to everyone's faces and want to extend a huge thank you to our staff for making such great efforts as always! Our little ones for being so amazing and of course to all our parents who took time out of the busy period to come and spend time with us all! We look forward to many more joyous celebrations in the years to come.
