In celebration of Chinese New Year, each of our nurseries planned an array of activities to ensure the children engaged in a variety of experiences where they learned all about the Chinese culture and what this celebration means. We made Chinese lanterns, practiced our fine motor skills using chopsticks, learned some basic Chinese words, explored Chinese food by food tasting and explored lots more fun and messy activities.

Toddler and noodles
Our Baby & Toddler Unit explored the texture of noodles during one of their messy play activities

Red envelopes
It's a tradition in Chinese culture to give a gift of a bright red envelope containing money symbolising luck and good wishes for the year ahead.
Year of the tiger
Another messy play activity focusing on fine motor skills with the use of pincers.
